Hey Jamie,
I have been following your facebook page and went through all of the livefit information on bodybuilding.com. I am in shape and currently teach group fitness classes Les Mills Body Pump (total body workout using weights) and CXWORX (core exercise program). I have switched my focus from being in shape to looking into doing some shows. I already eat 6 small lean meals a day and work out 6 days a week with some cardio (3 days week). I was interested in following the livefit program but was curious at which point to join in and also how to incorporate my group fitness classes if possible. I would love to hear your opinion if you have some spare time! You are such an inspiration and I absolutely LOVE your recipes! The protein bars and turkey muffins are a hit around here! Thank you!!! -

Hi Jamie
I am 165cms (5'5") I am wondering what would be my ideal weight? At present I am 72kgs, been working out for the past 18mths and dropped close to 20kgs. My main aim for doing your program is to loose those last little 5-10kgs as I am hoping to be between 60-65kgs.
Thanks

I am having a hard time trying to figure out the appropriate training schedule for me. I know there are training schedule ideas and examples on line, but my situation is a bit different. I am in circus school. I train throughout the week on trapeze, fabric, etc. I have built muscle, and also gained fat. Trying to keep up the energy I have not kept up with the appropriate diet for my training. Also, depression has been a factor and I usually run to sugar. Aside from the obvious obstacles of diet I am trying to figure out a training schedule that can work around my "circus" training and doesn't cause me to overtrain or get so fatigued that I can keep up with the physical demands of circus. I understand that I need to give muscle groups a rest after weights. But what about when I am basically doing pull ups and core all day long almost every single day? Is it ok to add weights on top of that in the same day? -

was just introduced to your site and am eager to start. can I do these workouts without a gym? I have some minimal equipment in my apartment, a few free weights (8lb, 5lb) a medicine ball and I can't afford a gym membership right now. any thoughts on how to modify exercises would be great.
thank you -

Hi I am looking for help as i am unsure of where to get it, I am a 14stone woman who has recently lost a stone but the figures of the bikini category and fitness catagory have always interested me. I got to the gym all week and just trundle away on he cardio.
2 yrs ago i was diagnosed with skin cancer and after it was removed etc, i decided i needed to get fit and really look at what goes in my mouth.
I dont know where to begin, as i am 3stone12 over weight, do i go straight in to weight training or do i keep on with the cardio ?? i just dont know where to turn or what to do about this, any advise would be awesome and it will allow me to move forward in my mission. -

I am trying to find a good workout plan for myself but I am having difficulty. Can you help me determine what plan to try? I am 40 years old, 5.2 and weigh 125 lbs. My goal is to lose about 5 pounds but I want to really increase my muscle. I currently workout 4 days a week but have been doing more cardio than weights. Thank you for your suggestions. -

Jamie -
I had the pleasure of meeting you at the 2010 Arnold Classic. I am in need of some motivation and you are the one I always turn to. Do you have anything that you would suggest to keep me motivated? I want to be healthy, I would love to get in to fitness modeling and/or competing, but I am lacking that motivation right now.
Sincerely,
CHB -

Hi Jamie,
I started your 12-week program and today was day 8....however, i have pain in my wrists when i put pressure on them...sometimes it could just be pushing down on a stapler, or bending my wrist when cleaning...i wanted to know if there were any other exercises that can substitute the narrow and wide pushups...i did it last week, but i was in so much pain that i skipped those today....thanks! -

Hi Jamie,
Im new to your website, however, ive always been a fan. I had a question for you. When I do squats my heels come as I go down. Is there anything I can do to keep my heels flat, aside from working on my core? -

Hi Jamie!
I am following your livefit plan and was hoping you could recommend some alternatives to things not available in the uk, such as ezekial bread. Also first thing in the morning, I have 3 children to get up and out to school and a baby, so dont really have much time for cooking up eggs. Id love to hear your suggestions as im finding it hard to eat right.
Thanks for your help and inspirition x -

Hi Jamie!
Thank you for being such an inspiration and incredible roll model to us ladies who want to get fit,and stay fit. I'm actually going to try to enter into a Women's Figure competition when my husband and I are back in the states (we are currently stationed overseas). The only problem is, I'm kind of a beginner to this whole body building gig and am a little overwhelmed by all the protien powder selections, supplement selections, etc. What is your recommendation for a protein powder? Also, should I pay any attention to the supplements (they look kind of sketchy)? Thanks for your help! -

Jamie,
I'm sure you get zillions of posts, notifications, and messages daily, so I know it's difficult to keep up. I just wanted to tell you how much of an inspiration you are on so many levels. I've been a competitive track and field/cross country runner for 12 years and found myself in a lull when my college career finally ended. I gained weight, basically quit running and working out, and ate whatever I felt like. It was depressing that my "career" was over, and I didn't know what to do. It took 15 pounds and running away from the mirror for me to realize I had to make a change for my health (and sanity!), so I put on my workout clothes and headed for the door. I started following you on Facebook, saw the live fit trainer, and began to set goals. I started running again, even completed a half marathon, and changed my eating habits. I'm starting to lift weights again, too. I've already lost the weight I gained, and then some. I feel sexy in my own skin again. You're an amazing role model because you're so REAL. Your beauty comes from the inside, it shows on the outside with NO photoshop, and you put yourself and your beliefs out there for the world. Don't ever lose that! The faces of the celebrities we see are just a face. None of it's real, yet people are OBSESSED with them. The people we should be looking up to are people like you. Thank you for being true to yourself and being such an inspiration to all of us!! :)

Hi Jamie, I wondered if you could address or advise on changing trainers and teams. I have worked with a wonderful team and coach for the last year but recently made a very difficult decision to start with a new team. Part of the reason I switched is due to the fact that as an advertising and sales gal I now handle the advertising for my new trainer and thought it professionally correct to work with him, I also felt that he would help me by brining my training levels up a notch and iit would be a good experience to learn from more than person as I want to get my training certification this year. This has been very hard for me since I had no bad feelings for my old trainer and it is difficult because we became such good friends. I believe I made the right decision for me but it is still difficult. I would image that you have been in this situation at some point and wondered how you moved forward. Any advice? -

HI Jamie
First off just wanted to say what great work you do on your carreer and of course helping all with their fitness needs! Big Fan!
My question is im currently working on building strength and endurance. I lift 5days with 1day of a full body routine along with cardio for 30 min 5days. My lifting consists of compound exercises. Just wondering if you had any tips for my routine.
Thank you so much for your time. I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Jamie,
First of all I want to thank you for being an inspiration to so many women (including myself). I have a few questions that I wanted to ask, because well..this whole bodybuilding thing can be quite difficult at times. I am in no way, shape or form ready for any kind of competitions, but I want to try and compete in a few shows next year. I want to take this year to work on myself and my body. For someone wanting to compete and maybe model, who doesn't have a lot of time (or money really) since I am a full time college student, what kind of advice would you give? Also could you give me a few quotes to help keep my motivational levels at an all time high? Thank you again Jamie!

Hi Jamie...First off I wanted to tell you I'm a huge fan of yours :-) I've been on your Live fit Program for 3 weeks now and I wanted to know if it's normal not too loose any weight? My weight has actually increased a little. Anyways just wanted to make sure I'm doing everything right.
Thanks,

Hi Jamie,
What would mix well to improve the flavor of a pre workout drink with rolled oatmeal powder (they're heated)? It's thick like waxy maize starch, but better because it's not derived from gmo corn and good for blood sugar. A natural sorbet, blackstrap molasses, and truevia/xylitol sweeteners, fruits, what would you put in there? Quickest way to shovel in complex carbohydrates. Or maltodextrin, but the recipes for maltodextrin might be different because it's not thick like oatmeal powder. Either one would need plenty of complex carbohydrate digestive enzymes. 1 pound of oatmeal powder is $6 and is 285g of complex carbohydrate, 18g of fiber, 54g of protein, and 31.5g of fat, good source of beta glucans. Oats protein has a .57 on the pdcaa score which I think means percentage of absorption.
Thank You,
Daniel Holt
