    Dear Jamie,
I've always been really uncomfortable with my legs. I feel they're too flabby and need some more muscle mass. I already have an idea of what workout routine I want to start, but I was also considering using protein supplements to speed up the process. I've heard of whey protein, soy protein, creatine, etc. Which one, if any, do you recommend? Do they really work, or is it just a waste of money? And if you say no to the protein supplements, what would be the best thing I can do to get results fast?

    Thank you :)

    Jamie,

First of all, thank you again for making this weekend trip to the Arnold so worth it! The highlight of it all was with you wearing my West Virginia Powerlifting t-shirt and holding you in the air as my friend took the picture! Lol, you are the best!!

Also, I am curious as to what your diet was like while you were in college? I am on the homestretch of my last semester and want to clean up my diet asap. With powerlifting, dieting isn't really like bodybuilding, since the goal is to get big and strong. However, I have a tall, lean physique, so it is hard to put on lean lbs.

Any advice you can provide is fantastic as I know you are definitely a pro when it comes to having one hell of a physique!

    Much love,

    Nick Arbia

Hi Jamie! I'm a big fan :) Hope you can provide some guidance!

I would like to build muscle but I also like running and want to try for a marathon this year. Will distance running hinder me from building muscle?

    thnx!

    Hello Jamie
I was looking over your navigate the supermarket section and under healthy fats I noticed that you did not include coconut oil. Coconut oil is the absolute best oil there is. You can use it in cooking because it does not turn toxic during the heating process while cooking your meals(Olive oil fails that test). I also notice that you seem to be afraid of fat. All the meat you recommend is lean. The latest research shows that fat in meat is not the enemy to your heart or waist line. It is the carbs, sugar and not enough working out that people find themselves fatter than they would like. After looking over your total list it seems that you are just repeating what others have said. The problem with that is some of the information is flat out wrong.Trans fats are the plague!! Saturated Fats are a god send but people are made to be afraid of them. Readers do your research on the benefits of saturated fats.

Hey Jamie! First of all, thanks for answering my question in your webcast you did on thursday. You threw me off when you said my name. Haha. But anyways, I've been cracking down on my eating here lately. I'm 5'3", and as of now, 120 pounds. I'm really trying to get lean and build some muscle. So I've figured out that I need about 120g of protein, around 1600 calories, around 150 carbs, and I need to stay around 35g of fat each day. All of this was through internet research, so hopefully this sounds about right. If not, please let me know! My main concerns right now are about sodium and sugar. Obviously, I don't need to much sugar, so I've pretty much cut it out except for whats in my protein bars (Oh yeah! bars have about 4 grams, depending on the flavor), and my whey poweder has like 1g. But how much sugar is too much? Should I just stick to what's in my supplements and cut out any other sugars? And then there's sodium.. I feel like it's difficult to avoid it. How much should I have each day? All I drink is water, so I feel like as long as I'm staying hydrated, its ok to have sodium.. It's just so much to think about! haha. And by the way, I'm such a Jamie Eason wannabe! haha. Thanks Jamie! xoxo - Emily Hayes

    Jamie,

I was just wondering if you had any suggestions of really good workouts that helped get rid of the stubborn little pouch in the lower abdomen? I have tried several things and nothing seems to be working...

    Thank you!

    Hello Jamie,
    I think you look amazing!
My question is how does one keep there motivation if my husband is not into working out like I am so there is no support as far as diet, it doesn't matter what he eats which then makes it harder for me to keep on track.
    Thank you for your time,
    Kat

Thank you for taking the time to read this message. I am severely allergic to eggs and all nuts. Many protein shakes and bars contain eggs or traces of nuts and I am wondering about an appropriate protein substitute. I would love to make both the Carrot Cake Protein Bars and Chicken Meatloaf Muffin recipes available on your site. Can you please provide me with a good substitute for the eggs that are called for in each recipe? Thank you!

Hey you! I have a article idea. I just had a talk with Stacey Pillari last night in the gym about Muscle Maturity. She told me that the last muscle gained is the first muscle lost. I just came out of a "Bulking" period 2 weeks ago so that's not what I wanted to hear. Could you write something about Muscle Maturity? What it means and how to retain the muscle gained from a bulking period while transitioning to a leaner diet and body?

    Thanks bunches!

Hi Jamie:) I was just wondering what supplements (if any) that you take, and if you take a fat burner. If so, what ones would you recommend? I'm a little confused, because I don't necessarily want to lose weight, I just want to burn fat from around my midsection> Help Please.

    Hello Jamie,

I just thought I would stop by and say that I just made the chicken muffins for the first time. Oh my goodness! I was surprised at how much flavor they had! Yummy! This will be a weekly recipe for sure.I've also tried the tuna stuffed egg white recipe. I would have never thought to put those two together like that. It is actually really tasty!

Thanks so much for sharing these recipes! I am looking forward to trying the "Oh Baby" carrot cake protein bars soon.

    Hey Jamie,

Quick question. Because I work so late I've been getting home from the gym around 8:30-9pm. I have a protein shake but I'm not sure if I'm still supposed to eat dinner after that. If I don't I will be skipping dinner all together and I don't think that's a good idea either. Of course I have a little snack before I get to the gym, I'm just not sure how to work the rest out. Yikes! I don't want to to eat too much or too little. I'm sure my body will adjust eventually but right now I'm not super hungry... mostly because I just started lifting weights.

Anyway, any advice would be great. :)

Hi Jamie! First of all, let me say that you are my number 1 inspiration. I ran across bodybuilding.com and watched your videos about working out and proper nutrition, and that's really what's gotten me back in the gym. Literally, the day after that, I was getting protein powder and going grocery shopping. I'm actually doing one of the workouts that you talked about in one of the videos (Workout A), and I'm already seeing results. So, thank you thank you thank you! I love your recipe videos that you've posted on here and if possible, PLEASE add more! It makes eating right so much easier when you have variety, so keep the recipes coming! You are a beautiful girl inside and out! You've really made me realize that I can take control of my body and look the way I want to! I've never been big, but I've never had any confidence about the way I look. So, thank you for being so motivating and really making me see that anything is possible!
