Jamie's Plyometric Card Workout

Simply put, plyometrics are exercises that involve some sort of jumping movement. For this workout, you will only need a deck of cards and a readiness to exercise! And if you don’t have a deck of cards, don’t worry. You can still do the routine.

Perform 2 sets of the following exercises all in a row. Use a deck of cards, with the jokers still in the deck, and flip 3 each time. Add up the cards (face cards are ten and aces and jokers are either one or eleven, depending on how fit you are). Perform that many reps and then flip three more. Rest for 2 - 3 minutes between sets. A set is complete after all exercises have been performed in a row.

Plyo card routine:

(Note: 15 reps is if you don't have cards.)

  • 2 sets of 15 jump squats
  • 2 sets of 15 jumping jacks
  • 2 sets of 15 alternating jump lunges
  • 2 sets of 15 high knees
  • 2 sets of 15 mountain climbers
  • 2 sets of 15 running butt kicks
  • 2 sets of 15 wide push ups
  • 2 sets of 15 jumping jacks
  • 2 sets of 15 bicycle crunches
